How This Calculator Works
Providers commonly let you pick your service fee level — usually $75, $100, or $125 per visit — and adjust your monthly premium accordingly: a higher fee tier is priced with a lower premium, and a lower fee tier with a higher one. This tool applies the total-cost formula to all three tiers using your own quoted premiums, so the "cheapest fee tier" question gets answered with your actual numbers instead of a generic rule of thumb.
Total annual cost (per tier) = (tier's quoted monthly premium × 12) + (that tier's fee amount × expected service calls). Whichever tier comes out lowest for your expected usage is highlighted.
Worked Example
Say you're quoted $65/month at the $75 fee tier, $55/month at the $100 fee tier, and $48/month at the $125 fee tier, with 2 expected service calls a year. The $75 tier totals $65×12 + $75×2 = $930. The $100 tier totals $55×12 + $100×2 = $860. The $125 tier totals $48×12 + $125×2 = $826. At 2 calls, the $125 tier wins — but rerun the same quotes at 5 expected calls and the ranking can flip, since more calls weight the math back toward the lower per-visit fee.
